SEASONS ECO-ART GALLERY
Eco-Artist Reflections
"I was drawn to these beautiful natives that had been discarded and it was interesting that although perhaps regarded as ‘dead ‘
They had a wonderful energy and as always when drawing nature more detail and appreciation and connection gratitude emerges
The added aspect of listening for the messages truly enhances this experience and for me a strong message of everything has energy came through. Thank you for this lovely experience." - Karen - 'Summer in the Symbiocene' eco-art practice 2021

"It was about being creative and being in touch with your inner creativity without having to please anyone, it was very special for me to have that little space. I am surprised how positive this has been. It has taught me to not run from myself but to sit quietly with myself and remember I have the connections in me to make sense of my world and the things in it. It’s reminded me that I thought creativity was at a dead-end but this showed me there are other ways to create. I can radiate out and live if I connect back with myself, with nature and the things that give me light and life. I will take this as a lesson to be mindful of." - Laura - Winter eco-art practice 2017

"We collected the Autumn leaves nearby, participated in our practice and wrote what we were wanting to let go of on one side of the leaf and what nature told us on the other side. We then went to the river and floated the leaves down one by one... it was so calming and beautiful. I feel I just watched my cares float away being taken by nature and replaces within me by nature." - T - Autumn eco-art practice 2018

"I notice how I didn't observe individual leaves when they were all green, now each leaf is so different from another, shape and colour. They all have the same purpose, letting their life transform into another part of the system of life. Their nutrients will breakdown as they mulch their parent tree and my garden beds. They recycle and have another use in life. Life is transitions and systems feeding each other. I held a spectacular leaf to my heart and felt its oneness which felt huge. I felt relaxed, sense of flow and trust..." - T - Autumn eco-art student

"My artwork is a tunnel of dark colours and green foliage around the sides and top of the page. It has water at the bottom moving up the center with circular ripples in it. There is a turtle that just surfaced and is looking up towards the center of the tunnel where it looks brighter and lighter. The turtle is wise and knowing. I jotted down words which came to me while I was creating. Intimate, nurtured, energy, flow, change, motion, comforted, life, wisdom, universe, space, transition, light at end of tunnel, trust, not alone, supported."

"It does reflect the happy feeling I have as the majority of the time I am happy, calm, optimistic and positive. It also reflects as the blossom is intended; my hope for the future. The branch comes from the right, meaning the future and most of the branches reach up which is a sign of positivity to me as they look to the light. The branch as a whole represents a small part of the big whole to me; the branch only showing of the whole tree is a metaphor for me being a little human in the big wide universe, a part of the whole. The sunset colours remind me living in the moment, as we enjoy a sunset in the moment with its ever changing colours and feel a sense of peace about the transition."
